He has the ability to see the future with horrifying accuracy through his art and paintings, though after his murder at the hands of a madman who wanted his power, he's very reluctant to admit to or discuss this ability. HOWEVER, Isaac is also a heroin addict and when he uses he enters this precognitive state uncontrolled.
This will be almost exclusively semi identifiable porn at best (hello, it is Duplicity), but there is also the chance that Isaac will paint something not only identifiable, but relevant, with your permission!

Name: Isaac Mendez Door: Dominant Canon: Heroes (tv show) Canon Point: S1 E19 ".07%": Post his own murder (his last memory is Sylar cutting him open). Age: 28 Appearance: Isaac. Precognitive trance. Death outfit. History: Wiki Link Season One History Personality: - Self Destructive: Isaac successfully destroys everything in his life and tops it all off by actively getting himself tortured and murdered. As a drug addict, he's already fairly good at sabotaging attempts to get clean, get back to his comic and uses his power as an excuse to stay dependent on the heroin out of necessity to see the future. His self preservation doesn't exist (he takes off on cross country road trips to meet strangers without telling anyone) and aside from the few times that someone else is making his choices, he tends to make the choice that will be easiest/feel best with no regard for the actual outcome to himself. This tendency reaches its climax in him choosing to pack up and wait for the serial killer to come and find him, under the logic that at least if he dies and Sylar takes his power, Sylar will be stopped by following what the power shows him. - Impulsive: Isaac has no real self control. He's an addict and the damage is probably long term by now. He gets an idea, he runs with it. He decides to kill Peter, accidentally kills his girlfriend instead. Contacted by strangers, yeah sure, I'll come visit. - Unreliable: This is a mix of many things, but Isaac is highly unreliable for everything. He doesn't complete paintings on deadline, he doesn't show up where he's meant to because he's got high, or thought of something else to do, or doesn't want to. If he says he's going to do something, you've got a 50/50 chance at best that he'll follow through on his own. + Adventurous: You have to say this, Isaac doesn't let 'risks' or 'sense' stop him from living his life. He's up for just about anything at least once and doesn't let himself get held back. He got himself published as a comic artist, has gallery shows, choosing to live as an artist takes a certain amount of adventurous spirit. Powers and Abilities: - Isaac is precognitive and can see the future, or simply divine it, through his artwork. This power is most accurate and long reaching when Isaac enters a trance and allows the power to paint scenes of the future (often under the influence of heroin). These images are generally singular and often raise more questions than they really answer, or give little context to what is happening. I would love to work with mods and players to make this power a fun mechanic for people to play with and use to enable things (I can't help but think that Isaac would see a lot of pornographic images). Isaac avoids using his power, having come to realise that knowing the future is a terrible burden. His drug use will be spiralling, but he will do his best to only get high in private, where he can paint out the future and get rid of the evidence without letting anyone know what he can do. - Isaac is a skilled artist, trained and talented at painting, sketching, ink colouring and other two dimensional art styles. He has completed a visual arts degree at a university in New York and is presumably skilled in other common artforms such as sculpture and casting. - As a drug addict, he's surprisingly good at certain medical things like tourniquets, finding veins, finding pulses and identifying drug use and overdoses. Isaac: Umbrella Verse AU
Mar. 19th, 2019 07:37 pmOn October first, 1989, forty three women around the world gave birth. This was unusual in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day had begun.
Many of these children were surrendered and adopted. None had been accounted for by the families they were born into.
Seven of these children were adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire inventor and explorer.
Had Carlos and Alba known the troubles that would befall them, perhaps they would have contacted Sir Reginald and accepted his offer of payment for the children born of un-pregnant mothers.
But they had no idea, and so when Alba gave birth to an apparently healthy baby boy, they decided it would be better if their new son was not one of those forty three children, and so they registered his birth as before that date, their somewhat premature baby boy who was now a healthy weight after medical care.
And like the miracle child of Abraham and Sarah, they named their miracle, second son Isaac.
And Isaac grew up with a birthday in the middle of September, just before those miracle children were born. And when the Umbrella Academy made their debut, Carlos and Alba quietly moved their family to his family property, where they could keep the Umbrella Academy out of their lives.
And they watched. Just in case.
But Isaac continued to grow and act like any normal little boy.
But of course, he wasn't.
